I have waited for you
At the river banks-
I have stood amid the chaos,
Like algae on still water.
The chaos moved beneath me
While, on the surface-
It was still.
I stood there with my
Green ugly face-
My limbs stretching
Into the water-
Into the chaos.
I have waited for you
At the doorstep-
When rain poured
And all would be wet
Yet dry.
The water moved above me-
It filled the air
And the clouds
And my head-
We floated-
From beginning till the end-
Before a frog would croak
And I would get a hiccup.
